PRIVACY NOTE

A quiet archive, without advertising trackers.

You can read every story without an account. We collect only what is needed to remember archive activity and understand whether people are finding and enjoying the collection.

01

Anonymous archive activity

The site creates a random anonymous visitor ID in your browser so it can remember which entries you have completed and prevent them from being recommended again. Ratings are attached to that anonymous ID so one browser has one active rating per entry.

We do not require a name or email address, and we do not use browser fingerprinting. Clearing this site's browser storage resets your local archive history.

02

Website analytics

Google Analytics helps us understand visits, page views, referrals, approximate location, device type and engagement. We configure it for audience measurement, disable Google Signals and advertising personalisation, and deny all advertising storage.

For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics storage is denied and Google receives cookie-free measurements. Elsewhere, Google Analytics may use first-party analytics cookies to distinguish visits. You can turn analytics off for this browser at any time below.

03

External services

Source links take you to the websites that published the evidence. The Buy Me a Coffee button also opens an external service. Those sites apply their own privacy policies and terms after you leave The Almost Archive.
