What it was
A commercial online arena shooter developed by Boss Key Productions and published by Nexon for Windows and PlayStation 4.
LawBreakers built its combat around altered gravity, rapid movement and role-based characters. Reviews were broadly positive, but its paid launch struggled to attract enough players in a crowded multiplayer market.
Existence timeline
Boss Key introduces the gravity-focused shooter under the working name BlueStreak.
Alpha and beta sessions admit ordinary players before release.
LawBreakers goes on sale for Windows and PlayStation 4.
Boss Key says the existing player base cannot support the game as planned.
Boss Key Productions ends operations.
The game becomes free while a fixed server shutdown is announced.
The official online game becomes unavailable.
Why it ended
Boss Key said the audience was too small to sustain continued support. After the studio closed, LawBreakers became free to play for its final months and its servers ended on September 14, 2018.
Last confirmed trace
Purchased clients, trailers, reviews and captured matches remain, while the official network required for normal play is gone.
What it left behind
Its collapse became an example of how a competently made online game can still disappear when network population and commercial timing fail together.
How we classified it
LawBreakers was sold as a finished public game before its mandatory service was permanently shut down.
Normal commercial release maps to 100 under Arrival Score V1.
